Minutes 8th September 2022
• One minutes silence was held to commemorate the life of Queen Elizabeth II

• Minutes from last meeting: John was added as an attendee and minutes were agreed
• Action points from previous meeting:
• Roy to lay new tiles and monitor – Agreed this needs to be done by a tradesman.
Roy to ask Sean Attew to price up replacing tiles in hall entrance.- See “Village hall
tiles” section in Treasurers report.
• Mike to call de-fib people about broken case- Ongoing
• Syd and John to investigate proposed quiz night in Autum- John atteneded quiz at
Skeyton v/h. Option for food was also discussed. Proposed for October or
Novemeber. Syd and John Date to be set asap, so it can go in flyer for village
ACTION
• Mike to investigate Food hygiene level 2 for 4 members- This needs completing
soon- 4 members have completed certification, Elliot to do asap Cost £25 + VATCOMPLETE
• Mike to check viability of Multi Gym – Bartram Trust have rejected request to locate
in children’s play area, as they will be using more space for other equipment for
teenagers. Mike to approach Playing fields trust to see if we can put them on playing
field – Mike requested contact details- ONGOING
• Mike to check if we are allowed to do community orchard by playing fields assoc.

• Mike to look at possible funding of revamping front kitchen. See “Treasurer’s
report” for Norfolk Social Infrastructure Fund. Reminder that we need to check with
Karen Baker at NNDC before setting specification.- Mike spoke with Karen and she
recommeneded the following:
• Seperate hand basin with remote controls (Knee or infra red)

• Sink for Food Prep.
• Sink for Washing up
• Preferably stainless steel, but if not affordable use it in high use areas (Around
cooker, sinks and backs of work tops.)
• Flooring – Coved edges for better mopping.
• Net screens around openning windoews to stop pest flying in
• Extraction hood over cooker
Roy- List of recomendations from Karen Baker be be given to builders for quote ACTION
• Mike and Roy to research new PA and sell old system if possible (£300 budget)

• John to supervise electrician checking the cctv and side lights- Ask him to look at –
a. Side lights- not working Spare camera used to replace broken one.DONE
b. Front camera- John to get them back to install one to cover front area and
approach to entrance to side of hall that is not covered ONGOING

d. Rear security light -Make dusk to dawn? – It is required to be on 24/7

e. Extend De-Fib cable Electrician did not wantt to do it. Mike to request
from Heather if he can add a pin to hold up defib bag ACTION
• Syd agreed to meet Diabetes group on first session to settle them in COMPLETED
• Roy to chase up Bird Club bookings- Group to start back this Tuesday and 3

• Syd, Mike and Roy will meet seperately to look to registering initial interest by 19th
September for front Kitchen revamp – Syd, Mike and Roy (Des joined part way thru)
discussed funding bid. Agreed £20,000 budget to be made up of £4,000 from our
funds and £16,000 from NSIF bid. Syd to send out draft bid for NSIF. ACTION
• Syd to contact Neil to get proof that we own land for Openreach COMPLETE
• Syd and Mike will visit Carole and ask her to reconsider, as she does a great job and
will be sadly missed from the committee = Carole agreed to stay on committee, but
not cleaning. Group discussed option of advertising for a zero hours contract,
approximately 2 hours a fortnight, with committee members doing some as needed.

Event well received and gave a feel good factor to village, Des’s signs were effective. Re-think
timings for future events maybe 9 am to Noon. Income of £90 from gardens and £20 from
Felmingham Village Hall 4
teas and coffees. Less £10 prize from Sunflower competition. Thanks to Gail for defib training.
Proposal for another one at Easter.
• AGM activities
Suggestion of having a social night after AGM, with raffle.
• New Years Eve Party
Selling sausage rolls (Order 50) Times 8pm to 12.30am. Super heroes theme.

•Website. Des reported that all events had disappeared. Des will investigate and get
uploaded again. ACTION
• Facebook now has 103 members
• First aid training –Des to investigate a date for training offer. ACTION
• Flyer- To advertise future events: Zumba, First aid training, Quiz night, AGM/social
night/s, C&W nights, New years eve night. ASk for committee members, Dates of
Committe meetings Mike to make flyer once all dates are fixed – Must be set by 1st
